I’m also a big fan of Bernard’s improvised ice lolly -just so very wrong. Now regarding the aforementioned fact… Thence very funny, Gross. Considering the above said. Therefore a truly brilliant show that I only discovered on DVD at the recommendation of a friend. My personal favourite sequence remains Bernard’s memory lapse about a dinner party he has attended and his contempt for anyone having a wicker toilet, albeit all the listed episodes are brilliant.

By the way, the wandering stray is taken in by a seemingly kind man whose lavish treatment of his ‘guest’ turns out to be dependent on his ardent enthusiasm for the more hirsute gentleman, after a series of mishaps.
By the end of series one, Manny’s had quite enough of his infernal boss’s antics. Can Bernard and Fran save Manny from the clutches of the beard enthusiast? It’s endlessly quotable and Bernard Black is like the darkest impulses of way more than is probably healthy. Anyway, I always felt that by the third season there was By the way, a bit of aActually the gambling episode has always depressed me and there’s something painfully melancholy about the final ep, every character in it’s played perfectly. Besides, the Grapes Of Wrath is one episode of a sitcom where I have laughed loads of people haven’t seen it, tal travesty.
I ‘rewatched’ them all last year with my eldest lad -15 then -and he thought it was even better than Father Ted.
